It was Saturday morning in the city of Petropolis. Everyone was waking up, and the kids were especially happy, for the previous day was the last day of school. Now they could have fun during summer vacation. Hey, let's go see if Dudley and Kitty's kids are up and about.

At Dudley and Kitty's house, the triplets just woke up.

"Is today what I think it is?" George asked.

"Yup. It's Saturday." Summer replied.

"That's true, but it's also the start of our summer vacation!" Molly cheered.

"YES!" the kids shouted, jumping out of bed and quickly getting dressed for the day.

"So what do you guys wanna do?" Summer asked her siblings.

"I'm thinking we should let Mom and Dad rest, so let's go play Nintendo while we wait for them to get up." George said.

With that, the kids went to the den and played Nintendo games while they waited for their parents to wake up.

Sometime later, Dudley and Kitty woke up. They were surprised that the kids didn't wake them up, like they normally did on Saturday.

"Well, that's odd. They never let us sleep in on Saturday." Kitty said.

"You don't suppose...?" Dudley asked. (A/N: He thought the kids might have been kidnapped by one of the few bad guys left in the city.)

"I hope not! Come on!" Kitty said. She and Dudley quickly got dressed. When they checked the kids' rooms, the kids weren't in their rooms. However, when they got downstairs, they heard the sounds of a video game from the den. To their relief, the kids were in there.

"Thank goodness!" Kitty said. At the sound of her voice, the kids paused the game and looked to see their parents standing at the entrance to the den.

"Morning, Mom! Morning, Dad!" the kids greeted.

"You guys didn't get us up like you normally do on Saturday. What's up?" Dudley asked.

"We were in a really good mood, so we decided to let you sleep in." Molly replied.

"And why are you all in a good mood?" Kitty wanted to know.

"'Cause today is the start of summer vacation." Summer answered.

"Oh yeah! I remember when I used to go to school, and I always looked forward to summer vacation, because then I got to have fun all the time!" Dudley said.

"YAY!" the kids cheered.

Sure enough, they were going to spend their summer having fun, and a lot of it.

The End

And what do ya know, this story was the perfect way to kick off summer vacation!
