Nora's Story
Passing through this land,
a gradual descent into madness,
I pause to take in the scenery.
But, when I stop,
upon the sand, I see
a boy with hair so black.
I kneel beside him
and take his hand
to see if he's okay.
He opens his eyes,
and upon his lips,
a small smile spreads for me.
That's when I knew
that we'd be the best of friends.
And now he's here,
beside me now,
and will stay with me forever.
Actually, Nora,
I found you that day,
and I must say
that you were a sugar coated mess.
There was syrup everywhere,
even in your hair,
but you were certainly friendly enough.
You followed me home,
not a care in the world,
and we found we were neighbors.
That's where it started,
and we haven't parted,
not a single day since.
Oh, Ren, you kidder.
My story had flare,
and while yours may be true,
mine was epic beyond compare.
I know you mean well,
but please let me tell
this story next time.
There's going to be a next time?
Please, Nora,
why must you explain
the way we met to everyone?
Because, Rennie,
I know plenty
of people who are curious.
Now, just sit back,
and I'll give it a whack.
No, Nora!
Keep your hammer out of…
Why do I even try?
It's not like you listen.
It's past time you heed
the words I speak,
yet you fail to every time.
Now, listen to me,
and you will see
the cake tastes better cut not smashed.
But, Ren,
it's so much fun
to hit things and smash.
Why, doesn't this cake
look absolutely great?
*sigh*
Yes, Nora.
Pass me the flower,
the one on the corner,
if you please.
It's not damaged,
so I can eat it
quite regularly,
no spoon required.
