Matchmaker
China sighed as he rested his head on his hand. He knew they would get nothing done this meeting, but the tension in the air was so thick Yao could hardly breathe. France and England were bickering like an old married couple and Russia and America were having another one of their "Cold War" arguments. China sighed once more, wondering if anyone would notice if he left. He had other things to do today, none of which included being trapped in this intoxicating environment. The sexual tension was too much to bare. 'Maybe if they all got laid,' China thought to himself. That idea was absurd. 'But,' Yao thought, 'it may just work.' With his ideas in mind, Yao excused himself to no one in particular and left the meeting room, hearing the arguments clearly as he exited the building.
There was a problem with China's plan, however. One that he realized after much thought into his plans. He was old. Sure, he was surrounded by modern society, but Yao prided himself on his ability to stick to tradition. None of the nations would be pleased by a traditional matchmaking service. So China had to outsource. And there was only one person he could think of that could help.
"Konichiwa China-san," Japan said, entering the hotel room China was given for the meeting. All the countries were in Paris for the annual World Meeting. America thought it would be fun for the Allies to meet up for "old time's sake." China didn't want to go, but Japan suggested it may be fun.
"Kiku, how many times do I have to tell you, you can drop the formalities around me," Yao said, closing the door behind Kiku. He gestured to the small sitting area in the room and Japan took the hint and sat down in one of the armchairs. China grabbed the two cups of tea he just finished brewing. He handed one to Kiku before sitting down in the chair across from him.
"So, Kiku," China began, taking a sip from his tea. "I have a problem and I need your help."
"And what problem would that be?" Japan asked, following suit and drinking from his cup.
"I need to hook some countries up together."
Japan choked slightly on his tea, coughing in response. "W-what? Why would you need my help?" he asked, looking at his brother nation in shock.
Yao cleared his throat and felt his face heat up ever so slightly from embarrassment. "You're the only country I can talk to about this. I'm not exactly up to date on the courting methods of today's society. You seem to have more knowledge on the subject, considering the types of games you produce," Yao explained, finishing his cup of tea.
Kiku seemed to be lost in thought, thinking over Yao's words. He finally reached an agreement in his head when he met eyes with the other country.
"I see your point. Though I do not know the reliability in my games, I have played quite a few. I can help you with the setup though I refuse to help you with the execution," Japan stated, sounding like an attorney.
"Oh thank you Kiku!" China exclaimed, jumping up to hug Japan. He stopped inches away, suddenly remembering his brothers 'personal bubble'. Yao held out his hand, opting for a handshake instead of a hug. Japan gave a small nod of appreciation before grasping China's hand firmly.
"Alright, here's what you need to do…."
