"I can't believe I was kidnapped by a psycho Pillsbury Dough Boy! Remind me to never get in the back of a van again." Jane laughed.

"Jane I was so scared! I could have lost you." Maura had tears in her eyes.

"Oh sweetie. Don't cry. I'm still here."

Maura couldn't stop the tears.

"Come here." Jane held her arms open. Maura quickly scrambled into them. Jane held her tight.

"I'm sorry I should be the one comforting you after all you've been through."

"It's just another exciting day at the office!" Jane had a slight smile.

"I wish you wouldn't joke about these kinds of things."

"I'm sorry Maur but it's just my coping mechanism."

"I know." Maura sighed.

Jane rubbed Maura's back.

"I did learn something after another life or death situation."

"What is that?"

"That I feel safest when I'm in your arms."

"Oh Jane, I feel the same way."

They were content to stay in each other's arms getting comfort from the other.

"Maur?"

"Yes?"

"I promised myself when I got rescued from Dough Boy that I would tell you something."

"I'm listening."

Jane cleared her throat. "I don't want another minute to go by without telling you how important you are in my life. I don't want another minute to go by without telling you that I want to spend every minute with you. I don't want another minute to go by without telling you that I am in love with you."

Maura raised her head from Jane's shoulder and tears were leaking from her eyes.

"Oh God Maura! I'm sorry I shouldn't have said anything. I hope you can"

Before Jane could get out another word Maura brought her lips to Jane's. Once Jane got over the surprise of Maura kissing her she deepened it. When they broke apart they both had smiles on their faces.

"Thank you for being brave and saying that to me. You are an amazing woman Jane Clementine Rizzoli and I love you!"

Jane and Maura shared another kiss.

"You know I really like kissing you!" Jane licked her lips.

"I really like kissing you too."

I think I need to let Pike know that you're mine and he can't have you."

Maura laughed. "I don't think we have much to worry about with him unless he's drunk!"

Without warning Jane let out a loud yawn.

"I think it's time we get some sleep."

"I'm so glad we both have tomorrow off!" Jane said as she helped Maura off the couch.

Maura took Jane's hand and led her into the bedroom.

"Please lock the bedroom door so my mother won't bust in here in the morning."

Maura did not waste any time and quickly turned the lock on the door. After quickly brushing their teeth and changing they climbed into bed. Jane quickly spooned Maura and kissed the back of her neck.

Maura let out a moan and took Jane's hands and kissed each one.

"I am going to call Cavanaugh tomorrow and ask about taking some vacation time. What do you think about the two of us going somewhere romantic?"

"I think that is a brilliant idea!"

"Good! We can figure out where we are going tomorrow. I love you Maura."

"I love you too."

So Jane and Maura fell asleep to dreams of vacation and romance!
