As CM Punk walked down the hallway, heading toward the ramp to start his match against Daniel Bryan, he couldn't help but feel like someone was watching him. At first, he brushed it off, thinking of it as paranoia from reading too many comic books or watching too much TV, but now, it was really starting to get to him. He ignored it, telling himself to "Get your head in the game."

His music hit, and he walked out. He did his normal entrance, and soon into the match, everything went dark. Punk remembered thinking it was probably The Undertaker or Chris Jericho. When the lights came back on, Daniel Bryan was in the middle of the ring, with a knife jabbed in his throat. Puck looked at his former friend and almost vomited. The bell rung and the cameras stopped broadcasting. Security rushed audience members out of the arena. While all this was happening, Punk just stood there, in awe. He didn't know what had happened, but he somehow knew that it was the thing that was watching him.
