Following Season 4, Episode 21
Emily has just been arrested for killing Victoria Grayson. As she was lead out of her Hampton beach house, Jack arrived, seeing Emily yelling, "I am innocent." It was in that moment that Jack realized his love and affection for Emily, or Amanda, as the world now knows her. He has finally come to terms with his feelings, just as she did as she ran down the runway a few days before. He followed her to the station, hoping that this would be the last time they have to deal with the lies that flood the Hamptons. She vowed to be done with revenge, but Victoria had other ideas.
Jack bails her out of jail with his life savings, pledging to propose as soon as this nightmare is over. They head back to her beach house and try to determine a way to finish this chapter of their lives.
Victoria had used Mason to help her frame Amanda. Nolan finds Mason staying in a hotel in the city. They follow him to a private location, where they find all of the evidence that proves Victoria framed Amanda. Nolan secures the evidence just before Mason discovers he had been followed. He turns around, spotting David and crew. Shots are immediately fired; Mason taking five to the chest, and Jack taking one to the leg. Mason is dead, killed out of self-defense, with no one knowing which shot it was that killed him.
The police arrive to the scene, filing a report supporting the self-defense claim. Mason is dead. Victoria is dead. The evidence is in support of Amanda's claim of innocence. The court agrees with her, closing the case.
Then, Jack proposes on the steps of the courthouse, with Amanda saying yes! They decide to leave the Hamptons for a life in Los Angeles with Jack's mother. David follows, getting the best cancer treatment in the country.
A few months later, the adoption papers go through, stating the Amanda is the adoptive mother of Carl. The past is behind them all, and Amanda now has the life she has always dreamed of, with a family she loves dearly.
