Sakura once again glanced down into her lap where her notebook was, wide open on her page of 'blueprints'. Beads of sweat were starting to form on the nape of her neck from the tension. Sakura's evil accomplice and trainee, as she called Ino, sighed.

"Sakura, remind me why I agreed to do this?" she murmured, following the orders of, 'keep quiet and stay down'. Sakura looked up from her concentrating and shot a menacing look at her friend.

"Because," she paused to think of a convincing reason. "Because you're my best friend who loves me and would want me to be happy no matter what."

Ino rolled her eyes. "Spying on Sasuke from his garden wearing sexy jumpsuits like we are now won't attract his attention. In fact, it'll do the opposite. He'd never go out with a crazed stalker."

Sakura elbowed her friend lightly, ignoring the fact that she'd just been insulted. She leaned forward, holding her binoculars up to her eyes in a flawed attempt to see through the bush and through Sasuke's French doors. Ino hung her head, amazed that Sakura was still keeping this up.

"Alright, Ino," she said. "I'm going – WASP!"

The girls sprung up from their hiding place and vaulted up over the fence, still screaming at the wasp. Sasuke looked out of his window, trying to forget the possibility that he just missed two girls in sexy jumpsuits.

Sakura gripped Ino's hand. Ino sighed at her idiotic friend.

"I-nooo! This is scary!" Sakura wailed. They were sat on Sasuke's roof having recovered miraculously from the wasp incident. Ino wasn't very safe, yet she wasn't as scared as her friend. She was holding Sakura's hand with one of her own, and the other hand was holding a long wire with a microphone on the other end. This microphone would be going down the chimney so they could hear what Sasuke was saying, but she didn't have a free hand to move it with.

"Sakura. Let go of my hand. Otherwise, you won't know what Sasuke says about you." Ino said smoothly. Sakura gasped and let go, allowing Ino to drop the microphone down the chimney.

"See, now everything's - "

Shwip.

The wire escaped from Ino's hands along with the microphone as it landed with a thud in the fireplace.

"Uh…" Ino paused. "My bad."

"Sakura?"

grumble grumble.

"Oh-kay."

Sakura sighed and wrapped her arms around her knees. Ino pouted; she was hardly ever ignored. She was too pretty for that.

"Tell me," Sakura said. "Why does paying a visit to the Pizza Palace help me?"

Ino shrugged. "I'm hungry. A morning of spy-work ain't no good for my stomach."

Sakura pulled a face that read, don't you dare deceive me like this again, you pig, and walked out of the restaurant. Ino smirked at her friend's naivety. She coughed twice; a signal. Sasuke crawled out from under the table and scowled at Ino.

"What did you want?"

"Ask Sakura out."

"Why?"

"Because we've been on your friggin' roof for the past two hours, that's why!"

"But I don't see why…wait, why were you on my roof?"

Ino rolled her eyes. "Details aren't important. Just ask her out, please!"

Sasuke stepped back with a you're crazy look on his face and walked out the door. Ino scowled and folded her arms tight across her chest.

"Dangit, I thought I'd have him that time."

Sakura stalked up and down her living room as Ino sat on her sofa in silence.

"Alright, Ino, listen up. Operation: Get Sasuke isn't going well. What's our next plan?" she asked. Ino smirked.

"Hold it…" she rummaged in her bag and produced a roll of duct tape and a rope. "Let's do it."
