Those words Kaworu had said to me on that day we took a bath together. Those words that I had never heard directed to me until that day. The words that left a huge gash in my heart after his death.

"I'm saying I love you."

The light breeze felt good against Shinji's hot face as he walked to school once again. His bag thrown carelessly over one shoulder and the CD player in one hand and the headphones put up to his ears. The rhythm of his steps playing along with the music.

The music let his mind drift into many thoughts, Shinji's face almost emotionless as memories came into his head. The memories that hurt most.

No, This wasn't the first time Kaworu had came back into his head, In fact he almost thought of the young angle every day. It was hard not to think of him. After you kill someone, isn't it hard not to think of them?

letting out a small sigh Shinji looked over to the school building with an almost depressed look. Throwing his CD player into his bag, Shinji hurried off into he building.

"Mmm. . Kaworu, Don't stop!"

"Shinji!"

"AH! NAUGHTY!"

"SHINJI!"

The sudden high pithed yell made almost made Shinji jump out of his seat in shock. Crap. Asuka.

Snapping out of his daydream Shinji looked over to Asuka with a sleepy look in his eyes as the red head came into full view. Asuka folded her arms across her chest and a foot could be heard tapping impatiently on the marble floor.

"What the heck is your problem? Your drooling all over the place you idiot!" The young girl scolded as she shook a finger to Shinji as if he were a bad dog that had just peed in the house.

"I-I didn't get much sleep last nigh. . Thats all." Shinji put out as he got up from his seat, Noting that everyone else was leaving the room which had meant Shinji had slept over the bell. Impressive.

"Ya, Well, Get more sleep tonight." Asuka told Shinji as she kept both eyes on the boy's every move. It was as if she was suspecting something. . .

"You do know the news?"

Shinji looked up to Asuka in confusion. No, He was never informed with any news. What could it be? Shinji shook his head in reply to Asuka's question "No, Nothing new."

"Kaworu is back."

"Wha?"

It was as if Asuka had read Shinji like a book. Was she fooling with him? Toying with him like she always did? How the hell could Kaworu come back! Stupid bitch.

"Yes, It is true. NERV was conducting some experiments with Kaworu's dead body and they happen to bring him back. Of course he was an angle so his body must be different from ours."

Shinji blinked as his mind raced with thoughts that hit him hard and fast like a bullet. Kaworu was back! He wasn't dead! Now Shinji could sleep a little better without worry that he killed an innocent being!

"Where is he?" Shinji let out quickly, Not giving his words second thought at all. His heart was beating hard against his chest and his eyes were filled with joy.
