[Unspoken]
"Why do we bicker, so?~"
A crimson, metallic liquid oozed from the fresh wound Sesshōmaru embedded within [y/n]'s crème toned cheek. "Enough." was the sole word to slip past his plush pale lips; bitterness dripping like venom from the lone word. A knot began to rise within her throat as tears threatened to spill over; her heart shattering and fear settling in. She cowered upon the wooden floor at his feet, almost as if silently begging forgiveness. Not but a few moments prior were things grand, maybe she had spoken out of term? Or did something wrong?
Brushing aside the stinging sensation and ceasing her frantic heart, [y/n] forced herself into a soulless being; erasing any emotions or feeling she once had in order to cope with the situation at hand. "Stand and look at me." Sesshōmaru demanded, and [y/n] did as told without hesitation. She allowed her head to tilt slightly up to lock eyes with the daiyōkai; struggling against the rising fear. Stern and cold amber orbs met with [y/n]'s dull teal ones, tension lingering ensnaring them for what seemed to be an eternity.
He knew [y/n] must be rummaging through her thoughts; trying desperately to grasp where things went amiss. However, she would never be able to calculate just what happened; because it was himself where the problem lied. His yōkai tore at him to take her, but his better judgement waged war with his unsettled demon blood. Quieting his howlling yōkai, Sesshōmaru gently combed his only hand through [y/n]'s copper tresses; amber spheres radiating a soft and warm feeling, if only for a brisk moment.
A puzzled look plastered itself upon [y/n]'s once masked face. The corners of Sesshōmaru's pale, thin lips twitched upwards slightly as he ceased with the combing of her hair; keeping his hand tangled within the tresses, he pulled [y/n] closer so that the gap between them failed to exist. Their features contorted to a pained and yearning as Sesshōmaru continued to hold [y/n] close to him; [y/n] clinging to his robes as if her life depended on it.
Sesshōmaru untangled his hand from her hair and began to stroke it with such tenderness; his silence and gentle gestures seeming to communicate what he failed to say, [y/n] at last comprehending and settled into a serene sense of mind, body and soul. 'If only you knew what you do to me; if only you knew how attached I am to you, my human." Sesshōmaru's thoughts brought about a desire of [y/n]. A desire to protect her and love her to the best of his ability, just as his father did for his human. And at last did Sesshōmaru understand just as to why his father had fallen and bred with a human; and now he could follow in his father's footsteps, but only if [y/n] was there to help him follow.
"They are just empty words~"
