Mom, I love Lilly
Oliver Oken sit down at the kitchen table. Across the table on the other side is his mom, Nancy Oken.
"So, what did you want to tell me, Ollie?" says Nancy Oken, sounding sweet and woman-like for a change.
"Don't get mad, okey? Lilly and I...we're sort of dating now." says Oliver, trying to be calm and confident.
"Why would I get mad...? That's very sweet." says Nancy Oken with a smile.
"Are you sayin' that it's okey? I'm not grounded for two years?" says Oliver surprised.
"Of course it's okey, Oliver! You're not grounded, that's crazy. I think it's really good that you're dating Lillian. She's a sweet girl. If you're gonna have a girlfriend, I'm happy that it's her and not some slutty girl off the streets." says Nancy Oken in a calm mature tone.
"That's good, mom! Thanks!" says Oliver with a smile.
"Just don't do dirty stuff with her, Oliver. Be a gentleman. Show your sophisticated side, because I know you've got one." says Nancy Oken.
"I'll do my best." says Oliver with a serious mature voice.
"That's all I can ask for, Oliver." says Nancy Oken with a smirk.
"Okey." says Oliver.
"How did it start with you and Lilly? You always used to say that you two were no more than friends." says Nancy Oken.
"It was at the big beach party. As you know I didn't get a date so I ended up goin' alone like some fuckin' loser and..." says Oliver.
"Don't use the word 'fucking' like that, Oliver!" says Nancy Oken.
"Sorry, mom! Anyway...I ended up goin' alone and later when some nerd-guy asked Lilly to dance she started to dance with me instead so she could get the freak off her trail and then it was magic. Lilly's hair smelled like apples and we danced to a song by Coldplay. At first I just danced with her so she didn't have to dance with the nerd, you know...like being there for a best friend, but when I could feel the sweet apple-scent from Lilly's hair and when she placed her head against my neck it was pure love." says Oliver.
"Wow! That sounds very romantic, Oliver." says Nancy Oken.
"It was." says Oliver. "My Lilly-Pop is awesome!"
"Lilly-Pop?" says Nancy Oken confused.
"That's my cutie-name for her. Yeah, I know, it's kinda lame, but pretty cute as well." says Oliver.
"What's the meaning behind such a name?" says Nancy Oken.
"That's Lilly's and my secret. We've deciced not to tell anyone." says Oliver with a smile.
"Of course!" says Nancy Oken.
"Does Miley know that you and Lilly are dating now?" says Nancy Oken.
"No. We don't wanna tell her yet. She's sure to freak out and if that happen now she won't be able to complete her movie so we're gonna wait." says Oliver.
"Ollie, I'm sure Miley won't get mad or anything. You probably have her blessing, just as you have mine. Don't worry." says Nancy Oken.
"I hope you're right." says Oliver. "Lilly and I don't wanna lose Miley as a friend." says Oliver.
"That would never happen, Oliver. You three have a friendship that nothing can destroy. No matter what, you, Lilly and Miley are gonna be the ultimate friendship-trio. Trust me." says Nancy Oken.
"You really think so?" says Oliver.
"Yeah, I do! Lilly and Miley have been your best friends since you kids were 11." says Nancy Oken. "As far as I see it, you three can survive anything that life would throw at you."
"Thanks for believing in me, mom." says Oliver.
"No problem, Oliver." says Nancy Oken with a smile.
"Can you finally admit that I'm a man now, mom?" says Oliver.
"Guess I have to. You're not a little 7 year old boy that I need to protect anymore. Soon you'll be movin' out and marry Lilly and get a job. A mom fear that day, but also know that it's gonna come and there's nothing she can do to stop it." says Nancy Oken. "You're really a young man, Oliver."
"Thanks!" says Oliver with his manly voice.
The End.
