A/N - I'm aware that it is practically impossible to get your hand stuck in a cup, there's no need to point that out ^_^
I may or may not continue this.
"Dan! Daaaannnnnnn!" Phil yelled from the kitchen.
"What?" Dan replied sleepily from his bedroom.
"I… I've got my hand stuck in a cup…" Phil said with an embarrassed blush colouring his face. He heard loud laughter coming from Dan's room and regretting sticking his hand in this stupid cup at once. "Just help me please!" Phil yelled.
"God Phil, how did you even manage that?!" Dan exclaimed once he saw how stuck Phil had gotten his hand.
"Just shut up and help me!" Phil replied, laughing to cover up his embarrassment. By now, Dan was laughing so hard he could barely even stand up straight.
"Not until you explain how the fuck you even managed this. How did you get a freaking cup stuck on your hand!?" Dan demanded, still laughing a little.
"Well…" Phil began, "I noticed how big my hands were for some reason and then I wondered if I could fit one into a cup…" Phil finished, blushing with embarrassment once again. Dan immediately cracked up laughing again, which made Phil feel even more embarrassed. He did notice though, how gorgeous Dan looked even when he was laughing so hard he was almost falling over. He hadn't straightened his hair yet, leaving it curly. Exactly how Phil liked it. He shook his head a little to clear his mind of the thoughts that shouldn't even be there in the first place. What would Dan think if he knew how Phil felt about him?!
"Why don't we melt some butter and then pour it into the cup? It might make it slippery so we can pull your hand out," Dan suggested.
"Well, nothing else has worked so far so I guess it's worth a try," Phil said with an exasperated sigh.
Dan went to the fridge and pulled out a stick of butter, cut a piece off and immediately started giggling.
"What now?!" Phil asked, wondering what Dan was giggling at.
"I can't believe you got your hand stuck so far in a cup that we have to pour butter on it!" Dan replied, now laughing very hard.
Dan's laughter is infectious, Phil thought, now laughing a bit himself. Before long, they were both laughing so hard their eyes were filled with tears.
A few minutes later, Dan was holding a bowl of melted butter. "I hope this isn't too hot," He said as he began pouring it into the cup. Once all the butter was in the cup, Phil moved his hand around to feel if he could pull it out yet.
"I think it's almost free!" Phil exclaimed as he yanked his hand out of the cup. Butter dripped to the floor from his fingers as he rushed to the sink to wash it off.
"Agree with me, I'm a genius!" Dan said proudly.
"Just one of the reasons why I love you!" Phil said while washing his hand. "I mean… ah… oh crap…"
"One of the reasons… why you love me?" Dan said softly, taking a step towards Phil.
Phil turned off the water and stood in front of the sink, watching the water go down the drain and cursing himself for being so careless. "I'm sorry Dan, blurting that out was a mistake. I would take it back but," Phil turned around, "it's true. I love you Dan, and I have for a long time. I know that you'll never feel the same about me but I hope this won't destroy our friendship becau-" Phil was stopped by Dan placing a finger on his lips to quiet him.
"You don't have to apologise, Phil," Dan said softly as he leaned in to kiss him.
