Okay this story is for Bubbly131's contest on why and how the midnight runaways got their name.

15 years old Edward, Emmett and Jasper ran downstairs. "Mom, Kevin called and asked if we could stay at his house tonight. Can we go please, please" Emmett asked as soon as they got in the kitchen. "Does his parents know about it, did they say it was okay" Esme asked the boys. They all answered yes, and she gave them permission to go.

"Guys, are you coming tonight?" Kevin asked later that day in school. "Yep, we'll be there" Jasper answered him. They spent the rest of class talking about that night.

Kevin's house.

Edward, Emmett and Jasper had just finished playign a song they wrote at Kevin's. There was only abotu ten people there, Kevin's parents were out of town that day and wouldn't be back until lunch time tomorrow. "hey, you did good. got a name for your band?" Kevin asked. "No," Edward answered. "When did we become a band?" Emmett asked. "I don't know, but I bet you guys could become famous" Kevin said and walked away to go talk to some pther people.

They spent some time talking about becoming a world famous band, and names for their band, but they never came up with one. Around 11:30, everyone was watching movies when they heard tires coming up the drive way. Kevin got up and looked out the window. "My parents, they weren't supposed to be home until tomorrow. Everyone hide."

"i thought your parents knew about this" some guy said. Kevin shook his head "I lied." Everyone started grabbign their stuff and hiding some where. Jasper grabbed Emmett and Edward by the backs of their shirts. "get your stuff, we can sneek out the back door." They nodded and snuck out the back door. But now they had to walk ten blocks to get home.

About half way home a police car pulled over beside them, "what are you boys doing out at midnight??" the officer asked.

"Going home, our friend had a party but then his parents came home and sent us all home." Emmett explained. The officer nodded, mumbling something about kids running away at midnight and drove away.

When they got home, their parents asked why they were home so late at night. They woke up when the boys came loudly through the front door. Jasper said that they got to loud and Kevin's parents sent everyone home. Esme and Carlisle nodded and went back to bed.

Monday morning

"Hey where did you guys go? My parents found everyone and yelled at us, and now i'm grounded until the end of the month." Kevin yelled.

"we left." Edward said, "so you just runaway at midnight, while the rest of us stay behind. Stupid midnight runaways" Kevin mumbled the last part and turned away.

"WAIT A MINUTE" Emmett yelled. Kevin came back and they all stared at Emmett. "its perfect. our band name." Emmett explained, they still stared at him. "our band name can be midnight runaways. Now quit staring at me like i'm crazy" After that Emmett walked away.

"it works" Jasper shrugged and walked away. Kevin and Edward then went to class. After that day, the boys wrote and played songs for local places, like school dances and town fairs. And soon after that they were known around town.
