It was Saruhiko's day off. It was an understatement to say that he's delighted to be away from pointless paperwork and office air. Not to mention his annoying and bossy superiors.

He was walking in the park. He didn't even know why he was. He normally would just stay inside his room and sleep the whole day.

It surprised him. It really did. It surprised him to see Munakata Reisi in the park as well. He's sitting on one of the benches like a normal person would, and he's talking to the person beside him… Wait a minute.

Wait.

Wait what.

That person beside him. That person is none other than Suoh Mikoto.

His mind told him that he should get away before the two see him. He isn't exactly aware on why, but it just feels like trouble with those two together.

But before he was able to leave, it was too late. As he already heard Reisi's voice, greeting him, "Oh, if it isn't Saruhiko. It's such a coincidence to meet both you and Suoh today."

"Hm." The Red King made a short sound as he eyed the younger man from head to toe. Saruhiko felt a bit conscious in how he looks like, (not like he would care about Suoh Mikoto's opinion) but isn't it normal to feel even just a little bit conscious when someone stares at you?

"Suoh, please scoot to the other side of the bench and let Fushimi-kun sit between us."

Saruhiko wanted to say no, but no words came out as Suoh Mikoto already pulled him between them.

He clicked his tongue; feeling like his day-off has probably gone to a waste. He was supposed to relax and rest today. But he knows that spending time with these two will be really tiring.

And it feels really strange.

He's sitting between his former and current kings. As a matter of fact, saying it felt strange was a very big understatement.

"So, Fushimi-kun, Suoh and I were discussing what came first. Was it the egg or the hen?" Munakata asked, and Saruhiko thought it was the most pointless question ever made.

Saruhiko clicked his tongue in annoyance. Suoh yawned and said, "It's totally the hen."

"No, it's the egg. The hen came from the egg." Munakata said. He sounded so serious, yet Saruhiko cannot take any of them seriously.

"But the egg came from the hen."

Saruhiko closed his eyes, as if doing so will make him stop listening to the stupid argument of the two kings. They continued speaking though, much to Saruhiko's annoyance.

He sighed exasperatedly and said, "Come on. We all know that the egg came first."

"I told you, Suoh. See? Fushimi-kun approves of what I'm saying."

Mikoto rolled his eyes and looked at Saruhiko. "What made you say that?"

"The dinosaurs existed even before chickens did. The dinosaurs have eggs, so naturally, the egg came first."

Reisi smirked and clapped his hands proudly. "As expected of Fushimi-kun. What a very smart person indeed."

The Red King sighed and stood up, "You win this round then, Munakata. I gotta go."

"It was nice talking to you, Suoh."

The Red King walked away sluggishly and Saruhiko diverted his attention to something else. Looking at Suoh Mikoto just greatly annoys him.

Munakata cleared his throat and spoke, "You are a very exceptional person, Fushimi-kun. Do you want to go somewhere after this?"

Saruhiko clicked his tongue before replying. "Yes. I want to go home."

He stood up wordlessly and started walking away, leaving the Blue King alone.

The only response he heard from Munakata was a chuckle.
