It sometimes seems their whole relationship is built on playing games. They play a sort of coy cat and mouse game, play the blame game, and play with each other's minds. But there are more mundane games they don't play anymore.
They can't play Monopoly anymore because he has a scar on his arm shaped like a ship- he cheated. They can't play Battleship because he always wins and she refuses to play. Life was out after the first kicked goblin broke a window. Scrabble led to biting on both sides, and not the pleasant love nip sort of biting either. Card games are out, chess is no longer even mentioned, and the less said about jacks the better. (Though really, she always said, who knew that a jack could get lodged that far through the sole of a boot?)
So on game nights, a tradition she'd cruelly started the night of his defeat, they are very limited on what they can do, especially since traditional goblin games make absolutely no sense unless you are very drunk or very stupid (or both). Tonight though he thinks he has a sure winner, a game he overheard of at one of his pickups, a little game called "spin the bottle".
