"Jack? JACK?"

Katie Bell frantically scanned the crowd and began pushing through the throng, searching for any sign of her boyfriend in the tightly packed mass of people who were all staring up at the stage. How had they lost each other? He had been standing right next to her and then poof. Gone. It was almost as if he'd apparated but everyone knows you can't apparate in or out of the concert stadium. Where could he have got to? She was fed up of always chasing after him. He was hopeless - always losing things, forgetting things (including dates!), not being where he was supposed to be and she was nearing the end of her tether. I'm his his girlfriend not his mother! she thought bitterly in her mind. She sighed and faced the stage as the Weird Sisters began playing her favourite song. At that moment she felt a hand on her waist, she spun angry words for Jack already forming sentences in her mind, but when she turned around her stomach made an excited jolt, as standing in front of her was the last person she'd expected to see.

"Katie! I thought it was you!" Exclaimed Alicia Spinnet as she threw her arms around Katie's neck. "Merlin! I haven't seen you in years! Must have been the Potter's Millennium Party! How have you been?"

"I'm… I'm- I'm great." Katie responded finally. Now was not the time to go into her relationship problems. "You?" She asked as pulled out of the embrace, a sweet smell beginning to trigger memories in her mind. She could see Alicia's full lips moving but the noise of the music drowned the other girl's words.

"What?" Katie shouted back, leaning in again to better hear her. As she did so she once again caught the sweet scent of Alicia's perfume and the softness of her cheek against her own as she repeated the question in her ear. Once again Katie missed what had been said as she was distracted by another jolt, this time lower than her stomach as her body responded to the familiar aroma of roses and vanilla and her cheek tingled slightly at Alicia's touch. But before any of this could fully register her attention was caught by something over Alicia's shoulder. Jack was being pulled out from the crowd pressing forwards against the barriers in front of the stage. Unconscious.

"Jack?!" She whispered, barely believing her eyes. Panic coursed through her body, pushing out any feelings that might have been starting to surface. However badly things were going at the moment, she still cared about him, even if it wasn't the way he cared for her.

"What?" Now it was Alicia's turn to be confused.

"Jack! My Jack! I mean, my boyfriend." Katie stumbled over her words in her distraction.

Alicia could see the panic in her eyes but couldn't help her own heart falling ever so slightly, her own facial features stiffening for a split second at the word "boyfriend" before she regained composure. This, however, went unnoticed by Katie who was once again scanning the crowd for a sign of Jack or the bright green of the medics' robes.

"I've got to go." She said, already disappearing into the crowd towards the exit after a fluorescently dressed wizard with the St Mungo's crest on the back of his jacket. "Owl me!" She shouted back over her shoulder.

"Wait! I'll come with-" Alicia called after Katie's receding figure, attempting to follow her but the parted crowd was closing again in her wake, "you." She completed to herself.
