Other Ghosts

DISCLAIMER: I don't own "Beetlejuice" or any of the associated boys and ghouls, I just play around in the fandom.

Begin

I can't remember the first time I ever saw a ghost, because, until the Maitlands, I wasn't aware that I had seen any. For a long time I was seeing people and not realizing they weren't alive, or at least that's what Juno tells me. I wanna think that I would have noticed something like the lack of pulse and breathing in my associates, plus being the only one that could see them, but I've not always been very observant and people wouldn't have called me on talking to myself because I've always been weird. So it's totally possible that I've been talking to dead people for my whole life and just never caught on. (Again according to Juno she has proof: she knows the librarian that I loved so much back in my old neighborhood library and she's been dead for thirty years.)

I do know the first time I saw a ghost outside of my new home though. I was walking down one of the side streets to get pictures of the new houses for Adam, when I saw a face peering out at me from a foreclosed property. The place was obviously abandoned; plywood over all the first floor entry points, but there was this old lady looking out at me from the second story window. I sort of thought she was a ghost just from the feeling of her energy, I'd been learning to pick up on it, but when she floated through the wall and into the enclosed porch on the second floor it was pretty obvious. She didn't say anything, just looked at me like she hated me and then turned screaming back into the house. I could see the knife was still sticking out of her back. It's something that will never leave me.

AUTHOR'S NOTE: I may add some more encounters to this later on. Part of my "13 Posts of Halloween". Further notes in my bio. Please enjoy.
