This is a prompt given by Annajadekin. She asked to make Kensi really smart but only Hetty knows. Soooooooooo let's go!
Disclaimer: I don't own it :-(
Kensi walked into Ops, Deeks by her side and grinned at the sight before her. Callen and Sam had found their old basketball recycling bin and were now engaged in a paper tossing tournament while Hetty looked on from her desk. And, from the expression on her face, Kensi figured she had noticed the paper used was not waste paper. As the older woman noticed her presence, Kensi noticed her eyes flicker over to her. Hetty opened her mouth to say something, but was cut off by Eric's piercing whistle.
They entered Ops and gathered round the table, waiting patiently for the briefing. "We have a murder outside the SecNac's villa that is now in our jurisdiction." Eric began.
"The Vic had brutal injuries; it appears he was tortured," Nell continued.
"Do we have a name for this guy?" Sam asked.
"Girl." Eric said. "Goes by the name of Brooke Stothe."
Kensi's head shot up and she stared astonished at the picture of a face beaten beyond recognition.
"Do you have a picture of her?" She asked hesitantly.
With a nod, Nell had brought up a California State drivers license containing a picture of a very familiar woman. Kensi gasped before racing out of the room, leaving her team's puzzled shouts behind. She hopped in her car and drove as the memories came flooding in.

20 year old Kensi Blye looked up as her dorm room door opened. There stood her best friend, takeout in hand.
"Chin up buttercup." The other woman had said. "If he was stupid enough to break up with you, he's not worth your tears."
Kensi had dried her eyes and sniffed, managing a watery smile. Her friend always made things right, even if it seems virtually impossible. She had knack for it... That and takeout.

"One day you'll find someone perfect for you; someone to love you, someone to cherish you. Just promise me that when you do, you won't let him go-ever. Don't let me down, Ninja." Brooke had said.
