Open to all:

Sort of an open letter to all fanfiction readers and writers. I am posting this in an attempt for someone to come to the defense of a few things that bother concerning the Potter Universe. The Canon one.

ONE: In what way is Dumbledore actually honest and not a hypocrite when he preaches "Do what is right rather than what is easy."

Two: What precisely actually makes him a Leader of the Light when his 'Greater Good' smells like a ruling oligarchy lead by Purebloods?

Three: Exactly what is redeeming about Severus Tobias Snape? The man was a stalker of Lily Potter, committed murder and rape before 'returning to the light' and treated her only child as if he were less than the slime you would find floating on top of an especially stagnant bog.

His teaching skills were certainly suspect.

Four: How is a fan-girl able to supplant decent girls that are far more attractive in their behavior to Harry? Re: Hermione or Luna or even Susan Bones?

Five: Why does Hermione fall for a walking stomach that has so many uninformed opinions that she is almost willing to tear her hair out and become bald?

Six: What is the fascination with putting a girl who is lively and effervescent in her personality with an emotional wreck that feels as useless as he truly is?

Seven: Why did Remus wait so long before coming into Harry's life and disappear again until Harry's summer of fifth year?

Eight: What exactly makes Ronald a 'Loyal Friend'?

I know everyone has their favorites, and Harry was pretty screwed up from his time with the Dursley's before his first year. But really, don't you believe someone that had nothing to gain would have approached him to become a friend?

The kids in his own dorm were less involved with him than Hermione, and he really spent more time in the dorm with them.

Let's face it, would Harry really have been that patient with Ron and his bullying in first year, even if the ginger loudmouth had been his first friend?

Given Harry's experience with his relatives I would like to think not. Bully didn't put up with bullies, even at home he would stand up for himself and others. In the case of protecting others, he allowed Dudley to have his way in order to keep other kids from being tormented for being his friend.

Hermione I'm willing to give a pass on her controlling and domineering attitude where it comes to teachers. She was an only child and protected by adults from bullies, Harry wasn't.

Draco redeemed is putrid to me as well. The little coward would have run away if he hadn't been able to fulfill his task and kill Dumbledore. I actually think Lucious would have upped stakes and run away when the mark first started to return before Harry's fourth year.

Considering how the Malfoys behaved toward the end in DH.

Send me your opinions on it. Who knows, I might be able to use something you suggest here.
