Yuri went to the toilet, he must prepare for his turn on the competition so he went to check on his hair on the mirror. He felt strangely exhilarated, everything was in place and with Victor by his side did he felt unstoppable. He was about to round a corner on his way to the skating arena when he heard two familiar voices, one was Cristopher, the skater and the other voice was Yurio, the Russian punk wailing away about how Victor never had kept his promise to him but had followed that damned piggy to Japan! Christopher listened, chuckled and said – don't worry Yuri, Victor will tire soon enough, he always does! It is not in his nature to stick around people who can't hold his interest, and to be honest, although Yuri is sweet and has showed potential, to mellow to keep up with Victor's passions, I can really not foresee a future for them, I could be wrong, but my money is on that he will tire on innocence when he realizes that the taste is rather drab and go back to his more adventurous ways. Be calm and stay put, and if I will do all I can to help Victor back. Christopher smiled insinuatingly flirtatious in his erotic way, all full lips and honey imbued looks.
Yurio ranted on but Yuri didn't listen anymore, he was pale and felt rather sick to the core. Deep inside he knew that what Christopher had said was true, why then was he shaken to the core? Yuri stood still, fearing that if he moved he would shatter in to tiny crystals. But this was not the time to shatter, he finally admonish himself. Soon it was his turn to go out on the ice and show Victor his love with all his might. Yuri took a deep breath, inhaled and exhaled a couple of times the cool air, closed his eyes to find his resolve. Yes, he was naïve and inexperienced but his love for Victor was strong, a vivid flame on the glimmering ice. He would go out there and convey just that to Victor. Yuri started to go and rounded finally the corner. Chistopher got silent and adopted an expecting stance. Yuri stopped before Cristopher and Yurio and just said to them - Well it's time, gambate!
