I have never before seen a beauty so Radiant,
Lovely, Breathtaking, Striking;
It leaves me without words,
Which when found are not the ones I want.
I hide from the Truth,
Truth will break old Vows,
Promises, Oaths, Pledges;
I am left confused,
And I am left ashamed.
I feel that all that I love Leaves,
Departs, Flees, Dies;
I find that it is caused by me,
And I hate what is me.
I keep away from the blinding Light,
So as to not taint it with my Darkness,
Imperfections, Stains, Weaknesses;
Yet it becomes so very hard,
Such Light draws my Obscurity.
It is so much easier to Give In,
Fold, Fall, Embrace;
But I never reach,
I merely Smile for the Sun.
One day the Light will know,
My smiles were for the Bright Radiance.
