"Why do you love me?"

The pilot had seen it coming. He had forced Vincent bare his soul to him and while thankful he wanted to return the favor.

"Why I love ya? Well that's easy" Cid started, giving the gunman a loving smile. He pulled the raven haired man close and sighed, "Well for starters I can't help but smile whenever I am around ya. In the old days I was a pissed off guy. But when I when I woke you up outta that coffin...I just knew that I had done something right."

He kissed the top of his lover's head before continuing, "When I met ya, I vowed that if I couldn't have ya as mine, I would have you as a friend. I gotta admit it was kinda weird. I never had an attraction to guys before ya. But when I felt the softness of yer lips when we had our first kiss, I knew everything would be alright." as if to relive said kiss, he pressed his lips tenderly against the others who returned it with matched enthusiasm. After quite a while Cid pulled away.

"Baby, I was so lonely before ya. Hell I almost asked Shera out on a date. Nothin' wrong with the girl but I've never seen her that way. She's more like a sister to ta me." He looked his lover in the eyes and smiled.

"But you wanna know why I love ya?" his rough, calloused hand came up and stroked his cheek, "Because without ya, I don't think I could go on." Vincent smiled and kissed his cheek. "I didn't know you could be sentimental, Chief. Are you going soft on me?" he teased.

"Ah, shut up."

"How about you make me."

Cid smirked. "Who could forget that part of why I love ya?" Vincent tilted his head curiously. Cid only smirked wider.

"Yer libido"
