Title: Bereft of Bliss
Author: Darkest Scent
Disclaimer: I do not own anything belonging to Harry Potter, though it would be awesome to.
A/N: This is a weird fanfic. Not your ordinary readings. Will have future slash or boy/boy. If someone has come up with this idea already, how interesting it would be.
Prologue
Fickle doesn't even begin to describe the nature of humans. The inconsistency in human actions, thoughts, and feelings creates the capricious aspect of human nature. Change is a necessity in the human world. Not a single thing remains the same during one's lifetime. What was once considered as new, exciting, and beautiful becomes old, dull, and faded. This was of course, only true in the eyes of human beings. Their world matched their perception of everything. Without their volatile world to reside in, the humans would have ceased to exist.
Nature, on the other hand, was separate from the workings of the human world. There was always a consistency in the natural world. Of course, like the human world, change was necessary for nature to exist, but it was a matter of life or death. Nature was as it should be, constant. However, with the ever-growing presence of humans in the natural world, unlikely changes were bound to occur. What once was could never be the same again. What could have been would never be. So begins our story about a garden blessed with change.
Deep in the woods, there once existed a well-known garden kept by a prestigious family. The garden was filled with beautiful, exotic plants from all over the world. Its magnificence and beauty astounded those who ventured deep enough into the woods to view it. Eventually, the family forgot about the garden, only remembering that there was such a garden. The garden became wild without proper care. It was abandoned and stripped of its previous recognitions by travelers. Those who passed through the garden now regarded the garden as a eyesore or ignored its existence. If the travelers were in pairs or groups, they would speak of their disdain for the wild garden and how it should be gone from their vision. Not a single traveler would stop to admire its long ago beauty and splendors. Not even if just for a moment. Things never stay the same in the human world. The overlooked garden grounds would once again be appreciated and admired by humans, if only by one person.
A/N: There's my first attempt at a story. Tell me what you guys think about. Any thoughts or opinions are welcome. R/R please!
