She hasn't waited long enough for him.
A little girl sits in the garden. She is bundled up in her blue coat and red hat, hands clenched into fists in her red mittens. She waits, resting her weight on her suitcase filled with spare clothes and toys. The Raggedy Man told her he would take five minutes, but it's already been over half an hour. Where is he? Hours pass, more than she can count on her small hands. She lets herself fall asleep, hunched over, waiting for her friend. Just as she begins to lose hope, she hears the unmistakable sound of the Raggedy Man's time machine materializing in front of her. She smiles up at the sky, silently thanking Santa for bringing him back. The child gets on her feet as the door of the time machine opens, revealing the Raggedy Doctor.
"Hello, Amelia Pond. It's been a while, but would you still like to go on an adventure with me?" He asks her, extending out his hand for her tiny one to hold.
