The team had just arrived back from a new mission. During said mission, nothing seemed off to the the members who didn't know of the very special occasion, mainly because Robin had promised not to even breathe a word off today.

So when they arrived back at the cave, nothing stuck out to them. They simply awaited a mentor for debriefing in the mission room, like usual. Now, Barry promised not to do anything stupid, but he was Barry. So when Batman had finished chewing them out and they were about to leave the room, a very familiar computer voice spoke.

"Recognized: Flash...A03"

The Scarlet Speedster entered with a wide grin on his usually already cheery face, one only Dick and Wally could understand. Wally felt his eyes widen.

"Have you guys seen my nephew?"

"Uncl-"

"He had bright red hair, big green eyes, about yay high," Barry indicated a motion way shorter than the current Wally.

"Flash?" Aqualad spoke, "Wallace is right here."

"What?" Flash gasped momentarily, "That, dashing young man, isn't Wally." The amount of sarcasm in his voice was very evident. "My Wally is only nine, and a bit of a pipsqueak, but you know, love 'em anyway."

Wally groaned, covering his face, "Uncle-"

"Now, if you'd help me find my Wally that'd be very helpful."

"I'm very confused," Spoke M'gann, "We have already told you that this is Wally. Are you okay, Flash?"

Flash walked over the the shorter speedster, putting a hand on his chin like he was questioning the statement.

"Hm, if you're my Wally, then maybe you can answer a few questions."

"Anything to get this over with."

"Who is the bwestest swuperhero evers," Barry spoke, mimicking the pronunciation mistakes a young child -cough, a young Wally, cough- would make.

"The Flash," Wally mumbled.

"Hm, correct, and who's big day is it?" Hopeful blue eyes met Wally's green.

"Mine," He huffed.

The Flash jumped with joy, "You are my little Wallman, but how did you get soo tall? Just yesterday, I swear, you were running through the house in Iris's dresse-"

"Uncle Barry!" Wally whined.

"Hm, I think you need a very special edition of the 'super-totally-awesome-and-cool-uncle-b-and-little-wallman's-spectacular-theme-song!"

"No! Not the theme song!" Wally's face was pure red, but his team's was filled with laughter.

"Ohhhhhhhh! Who lives in a house in Central City? Wall-y and Un-cle B! Awesome and special and cool is he! Wall-y We-est. If running supey fast is something you wish! Un-cle B-e! Then come visit them in Central City! Wall-y and Un-cle B! Wall-y and Un-cle B! Wall-y and Un-cle B!"

"W-was that a knock-off of the Spon-" Barry cut Artemis's laughing voice off.

"What? Never! My little Wally is super original!"

"Uncle Barry!" Wally whined and this time Flash decided to have a little mercy.

"Okay, Kid, I've embarrassed you enough, but, no hard feelings. It's part of the gig."

A giggling Megan spoke up,"My I ask was the display is for?"

"Wally! You haven't told your friends of the very special occasion?!" The Flash gasped.

"It's my gotcha day," The redhead mumbled.

"Gotcha Day?" That was Superboy.

"It's the day when we celebrate when Iris and I adopted Wally!"

"Your adopted? Then how did you get your pow-"

"I'd, erm, rather not talk about it," Wally looked down. Artemis was sure there was a story there, but she only nodded.

"Can we join in on the celebrations?" Megan asked, looking up at the Flash with hopeful eyes.

"Of course! So first, we go pick up Iris, then we visit The Flash Museum, then we go to Wally's favourite diner, then..."

The sound of Barry's words went in one ear and out the other. This was going to be a long night. But, Wally looked up at his uncle, who looked so happy. Who saved him from his, from that man, and Wally knew. He gladly owed him this.
