"Yeah, Sure, Love You Too"
It usually wasn't this hard to get Daisy to come to bed. In fact, Natasha was always the one that needed the extra convincing.
But tonight was different. Coulson had given Daisy a case yesterday about two missing teenagers who were supposedly spotted using some fire and ice powers. There were very few things known for this case other than the basics, so Daisy didn't have a lot to go off of. But instead of being frustrated and deciding to sleep on it like usual, Natasha found that her girlfriend was more determined than ever to solve the case and find the missing teens even if it meant the loss of sleep.
Currently it was two in the morning. Natasha was a night owl, so it wasn't uncommon for her to be awake at this time. She had tried to go to sleep, but the thought of Daisy sitting at the desk in their office still working kept her awake.
So Natasha got out of bed dressed in the Avengers pajamas Daisy had gotten her as a joke and walked silently to the kitchen. She quickly poured a cup of water and made a light sandwich, knowing full-well that Daisy hadn't eaten since breakfast the day before. That was almost 36 hours without a single thing to eat.
Carrying the food to the office, Natasha entered and padded over to the desk on the far side of the room. Daisy didn't notice her come in, even when Natasha stood right behind her. Natasha smirked when her girlfriend jumped slightly after she set the plate and the cup on the desk.
"I brought you a present," the redhead said, wrapping her arms around Daisy's shoulders.
"Thanks, babe," the brunette answered absentmindedly, still staring at the papers laid out before her.
"Daisy, you're going to give yourself a headache if you keep staring at this file."
"I already did about ten hours ago." Natasha frowned. She needed to get her girlfriend's attention somehow and flat-out asking clearly wasn't going to cut it. Instead she planted a kiss to her temple.
"I love you, Daisy," she whispered seductively.
"Yeah, sure, love you too, babe," Daisy replied, completely uninterested in the irresistabl sight that was a sexy Natasha Romanoff. "I got to get back to work though."
"Dais, there's nothing to get back to. Those papers haven't changed in the past 24 plus hours."
Daisy sighed, rubbing her forehead with her hand. "I know, babe. I know. I just. . .I really want to find them. They're teenagers, just kids and they're on the run from essentially everybody including us. I just want to be able to help them. Give them the chance that I got before it's too late."
Natasha rested her head on the younger girl's shoulder. Daisy was always caring for others, especially if they showed any similarity to her in terms of childhoods. It was wonderful that Daisy cared so much, but Natasha swore that the girl was quite literally too good for her own good. "I know, sweetheart," the redhead replied. "I want to help them too. But to help them we have to be at our best. So why don't you eat something, take a nice long bath, and then go to bed for a few hours and get some rest? Then when you wake up you can look at everything with fresh eyes. Sound good?"
Daisy nodded, exhaling deeply. "Yeah. Thanks, babe. And for the record, I really do love you."
Natasha smiled down at her girlfriend. "I know, sweetheart. I know."
Just some more Skyesha to lighten the soul. Hope you enjoyed it. I'll see you all again soon!
