A/N: Written for the ten year anniversary of The Curse of the Black Pearl. Characters and plot belong to Disney. Enjoy!

Sailing for ten years

With the wind and the tide,

Filling her sails

And still on her side.

A damned ship she once was,

Known for her black sails.

The captain and crew

Had a curse that ailes

Those who take the gold

From the chest of Cortes.

"I feel nothing,"

The cursed captain says,

"Not the wind on my face,

Nor the spray of the sea."

This was Barbossa's curse

For undead was he.

The last piece of gold

To be restored to the chest,

Had been sought for for years

For it, would put the curse to rest.

But the Pearl's rightful captain

Seeking revenge for his mutiny,

Obtained the last piece

And killed Barbossa ruthlessly.

For, the last piece returned,

Lifted the curse

And undead no longer,

Jack shot him and set course.

But with danger on the horizon

And his newly won ship,

Jack stayed in the shallows

To avoid death's grip.
