Summary: McGee wonders if Ziva is a closet geek.

Closet Geek

You could have knocked McGee over with a feather when Ziva talked about the Star Wars figurine with all the specifications too. Could it really be she was a closet nerd? She liked 'Harry Potter' he knew that from a very brief conversation about the books, during her first case. There was a lot the team did not know about Ziva, so it was possible. And despite being in America for over a month, she had not invited any of the team out for dinner or any sort of activity after work. Abby had made jokes about her seemingly anti-social behaviour, suggesting that Ziva had a secret child, a secret lover, or was training future spies. McGee had declared her ideas ludicrous but she convinced something was not right about Ziva.

As McGee watched Ziva joke around with Tony, he wondered if really, her anti-socialness was because she went home to watch a Star Wars movie or maybe Doctor Who. Perhaps she watched something foreign or maybe she was an anime freak. Then again, she had mentioned she did not own a television, and she appeared to be a fan of the Harry Potter books, maybe she read things like The Lord of the Rings.

"She's got a photographic memory not a social disorder," Tony declared expecting to burst McGee's bubble. He still held out hope that Ziva might be a closet geek.

He wondered if she would like to go a midnight movie screening of Star Wars or Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hopeas it was now known. The original 1977 Star Wars. But Timothy no middle name McGee was not a confident man, he could never just ask a girl out like Tony could, especially not a girl like Ziva. Even if said girl was not a potential romantic partner but his very sexually attractive female colleague who could kill him with a single finger. So he decided to use technology to his advantage. He sent her a text while she was out on the case with Tony. He knew she would not be driving, because Tony did not have a death wish.

Hey, wanna come to a movie with me tonight?

The reply came five agonizing moments later.

Which movie?

McGee replied, wondering if the next text would give him a definite answer.

The original 1977 Star Wars

The next reply came only a minute later.

No thank you. I am not a fan of Star Wars. Have fun.

McGee told himself it was too good to be true, a woman like Ziva would not be into the same things he was into. It would be like Harry and Hermione getting together, he thought. Just as he put his phone away to get back to work, he got an IM from Abby.

Abbsolute: Wanna do something tonight?

TMcGee: Wanna come to star wars with me? It's the 1977 original.

Abbsolute: Sure, is it dress up?

McGee smiled as he realized he'd had found his geek.
