What if Jean-Baptiste Grenouille did not die. What if he went on to becoming a famous perfumer?
Two years after his failed execution, Jean-Baptiste Grenouille was in London making a fortune. His perfume was being sold all over the globe and he was finally earning his fortune. After his almost execution he had stopped making perfume from woman. Now he simply made them from exotic fragrances available to all perfumists if they had the money. Jean-Baptiste lived in a large house, all alone. He was lonely, he wanted a wife, but he feared that everyone knew about his horrible past, and how could a woman ever love him? One day one of his servants brought a lovely woman up to his study. She requested that he make her the best perfume in all of London. He happily agreed and made it in front of her, but every other moment he took a peek at this gorgeous woman and wished that she was his. The moment the fragrance reached she kissed him. She came back from then on almost every day. 6 months later they were happily married, and within those 6 months Jean-Baptiste found out that his wife was with child. Since the day he had found out he worried that it would be a girl and that since his wife was so beautiful that he one day might be overtaken by her beauty and her scent and have to bottle it.
Sorry it's so short, they will get longer I promise. :D I thought about this after I had seen the movie for the first time (yesterday 1/15/2013) Thanks for reading. Reviews would be awesome. I am so surprised that I am the first to write about this lovely book and movie.
