Quote: "So, what's the verdict?" – Edward Cullen, Twilight, page 61
"Please, Momma," pleaded Renesmee in her musical bell-like chiming voice.
I watched as my almost-one-year-old-but-looks-like-she's-three-years-old daughter jumping up and down on her bed wearing the cutest baseball uniform.
"No, Baby. It's your bedtime. Aren't you tired? You've been running around all day playing with Jake," I responded shaking my head and trying to calm her down.
"Aw, but I want some vampire time! Pretty please, Momma." She looked at me with her big chocolate brown eyes and stuck out her bottom lip in a pout as she held my face and showed me a lovely scene of the family playing baseball together. Darn her and her vampire genes. There was no way I could say no to that.
"Fine," I sighed.
Just then Edward walked into Renesmee's room hiding something behind his back. "So, what's the verdict?" he asked grinning.
Renesmee squealed delightfully and jumped into Edward's waiting arms. "Momma, said yes."
"That's my girl," he replied kissing her forehead before pulling out the baseball cap he was hiding before and placing it on her head. "Now go out and tell Uncle Emmett how badly you're going to beat him." He set her down and she ran off giggling.
"You know she needs to sleep, right?" I asked, putting my arms around his neck.
He pulled me close, kissing my cheek and then whispered against my ear, "She can sleep during the day tomorrow."
"That's when Jake comes over."
"I know." He grinned wickedly.
I rolled my eyes and laughed.
