"MOM! DAD! Anyone home?"
I yell as I enter the house.
"MOM!"
I run to the back of the house, where the kitchen is - thinking she would be there, maybe baking dinner of cookies or something. But she wasn't in there.
"Where are you? MOM! DAD!"
I run up the stairs trying to find them. You'd think that with mom being a stay-at-home mom, she'd be easy to find. She's always around when I don't want her to be, but now that I want to tell her something, she's nowhere to be found. Dad works from home on Tuesdays and Thursdays and today is Thursday so he should be home.
"MOM! DAD!"
"What do you want Pamela?" My dad, Paul, asked me.
"Where is mom? I need to talk to both of you."
"She is picking up Patrick and Patricia from their friend's birthday party. They should all be back really soon. Why don't you go up and start your homework. I'll let you know when they are here."
"Well, fine! But let me know immediately! OKAY!"
"Yes, Pamela."
