Unimaginable Chapter 1
Cities that once were, had now been returned to dust. The winds that once gave a gentle breeze now rage a war against the towers. I stood where I was, in my home, at the balcony. Watching in awe as I see the rare sight of a kingdom falling. It's infrastructure collapsing under tons of stone and wood, humans getting squashed by the falling debris. It was a sight one should not even witness; and yet I did. No sooner did the wind change it's courses, to where I stood.
I spun, rushed back into the shelter of the house and went a floor down, toward the living quarters. I stood beside my fireplace and watched as it flickered. Flickered until flames turned to ashes. I could see a face in the wind, through the windows, one that was terrifying. It broke the locks on the door, shattered the glass that were on the walls, and came for me. It tore me, and I could feel the small sediments that the wind carried piercing into my skin, ripping the very tissues apart from me.
I fell face first into the unfriendly waters. I thrashed about in the water and managed to get a hold of myself. I looked around me, scanning my surroundings. On one side stood an ocean. Vast and spreading as far as the eye can see. The other was a piece of land. Home to vegetation, mountains, and animals. I swam toward the land, to the sand where the water resided.
I stood up, shaking the water off of me, and walked to the grass. Everything was... a blur. I was wearing a plain white shirt and rolled up blue jeans; no shoes at my feet and nobody around me. I sat down underneath a nearby tree that provided some shelter and stared blankly into the ocean, thinking about what had happened.
I could not recall anything. That weird sensation grasped me as I tried to think back. Those memories were there, but I couldn't access it. It was knowing something, yet not knowing at the same time. That feeling frightened me. Then flashes of pictures came into mind.
"Survival..." I said to myself. If I want to stay alive, then I would have to survive this terrible land; and though many questions still roam in my head, this was the most important. I looked up to the branches of the tree, and a thought came into my head.
Time to get working on something.
Alright. Minecraft fic is up. Wee! I know it is rather short. I am not the kind of writer who writes epic long chapters. Sorry! =3
I'll try to update this frequently, though I'm not sure about whether my activity will be ok with you guys who are reading this.
Mainly because I am, at the same time, writing a fantasy novel. :D So, just R&R, because I'd like to know what you guys think and how to improve. Thanks!
