Disclaimer (and other should-be obvious info): I own these characters not. The sky is usually blue. Marvel owns them, and many others. Snow falls from the sky. I just borrowed them to write a story. Grass is green, unless there's snow on it. So let's not sue me, okay?
P.S. Don't eat yellow snow. And don't yell 'You eat yellow snow!' at anyone unless you really mean it. Them's fightin' words.
"What do'ya mean by that?" Jubilee demanded of the group of blonde girls who she'd overheard as they sashayed past her room.
"Ms. Frost just announced it," said one girl.
"That's unfair! There never was one before."
The leader of the pack smiled thinly and the gaggle continued on. Jubilee ignored their exit, spinning into the room and slamming the door.
"Did you hear that?" she fumed at Paige and Monet, sitting on Paige's bed.
"The door slamming? They could hear it in the Biodome."
"Nooo! Geez, does the 'M' mean moron?" Monet looked mildly affronted.
"I mean the cheerleading team! It's bogus. We never had one till the rich bozo's came."
"To be fair, we never had any school teams either. 'Normal' ones anyway." M said reasonably.
"That doesn't matter!" Raged Jubilee. "If there's a cheerleading squad we HAVE to be on it."
"Yeah!" yelled Paige.
"Why?" asked Monet.
"Well, it's always been a girlhood dream of mine-Wait, why does it matter Jubes?" A beginning of a blush was creeping over Jubilee's face, but she held her dignity.
"This was our school first, and if anyone gonna be cheerleaders, it should be us. It HAS to be us." Her voice was hungry.
"That's the dumbest," Monet began.
"No," Paige interrupted. "I agree. We love the school, we're agile, we're enthusiastic. Do ya want a bunch o'prissy heads cheering for our teams?" Monet looked from Paige to Jubilee.
"As Generation X we spend hours a day training, maintain honor grades and protect the world. Are you saying you desire more extracurricular activities?"
"Yesss." Paige sounded hungry now. Jubes grinned and grabbed Monet's other arm and they pulled her off the bed.
"Let's find out when tryouts are."
"This is foolish." Monet sounded panicky. "None of the boys we care about are even on sports teams." The two stopped pulling.
"You're right."
"Let's get Ang and Ev to tryout too!"
"Well," said Monet standing up, "I guess it could be amusing." She was almost jerked off her feet as Husk and Jubilee each grabbed a hand and ran from the room.
