Taking Down GLaDOS Prologue
It was a year after the incident. I finally rebuilt Aperture Science. Now I needed to start to focus on testing. However, I had no one to test. I was all alone. Of course, I had robots, but after testing with them, I realized how much use humans have. Robots can`t die, or scram, or beg for mercy. I needed some new specimens. In addition, the only human I know of is psycho maniac and a complete lunatic. There is a vault of humans, which store additional test subjects for emergencies, but I can`t access it myself. I needed to use robots. Therefore, I sent them to the human vault. They failed many times, and it was quite boring to watch, but at the end, they got there. The only problem was that they needed to act human in order to open the vault, because they annoyed me with hi-fives all the way to the vault, it wasn`t a problem. Seeing humans made me think of all the other test subjects who failed miserably and died many times. The thought of that made me go happy inside. Finally, I could abandon robot testing and use real non-intellectual "things". The only problem was... they had missing body parts! You might think that it would make the tests more interesting and special, but all of them had their organs missing too. Of course as a high standard science laboratory, we had cloning machines and DNA. The only problem is that I need a fingerprint from one of the old aperture science workers for it to work. There was only one left in the entire world. Luckily, she was near.
Girl:" *yawns*, where am I? Wait, who am I at all? " As she awoken from the sleep, she found that she was in an old building near a gigantic weird construction. The place was in rubbles, however did I even get here? All these questions ran through her mind, and in end made nether a conclusion or much sense at all. Soon it didn`t matter to her where was she, or who even was she, all she could think of was food. And from the looks of it there was some kind of apocalypse, because there were no people out at all, and all the buildings were destroyed too. She started venturing out into the city. As she walked on the pavement, she saw the remains of a once great city. Where was she even going, or could she find people at all. Suddenly she saw that something opened, something like a panel, and some kind of mechanism tossed a turkey leg out of it and onto the pavement. The girl thought:"I can`t afford to eat raw food, I could get food poisoning."Then suddenly a lot of fire came out from the panel until the turkey leg was completely brown, and looked as delicious as ever. "Well, I must be hallucinating, but I`ll take it." As soon as she said that and started to reach for the perfectly roasted turkey leg, she found a sharp pain in her torso. She looked and saw that a giant hand was pulling her in inside the panel. She heard a content voice saying:"It wasn`t really a surprise that you humans were stupid enough to fall for this. But in all honesty I really don`t mind." The girl felt as she was falling and landed on a soft bed. You could see that someone had slept in the bed for a long time, because you could see their body shape pressed inside of the mattress. GLaDOS:"Let me explain myself. You probably don`t remember a thing because you most certainly have brain damage. I will need you to pass these tests and learn to use the ASHPD aka Aperture Science Hand Held Portal Device. Moreover, do not even try to run, because I will always be watching you and you won`t have anywhere to run. If you understand the situation and are ready to co-operate, finish you`re turkey leg and we can start." The girl quickly realized that there really was no way to escape and remembering how painful was the hand that just grabbed her, just proved her point. Therefore, she finished eating her food curiously thinking what will happen to her next.
