"Ouch!" Mumblefoot yowled as Blazekit pounced on his tail.
Weedwhisker, who was sitting under a nearby bush, purred in amusement. "Kits will be kits, Mumblefoot."
"Blazekit! Stop bothering your elders! Get over here, now!" Blazekit stiffens when she hears her mother's call, and walks over to her with her head down.
"Sorry that my kit cannot seem to behave herself," Breezewave says to the elders as she picks up Blazekit by her scruff.
Sorry that my mother cannot seem to be so strict... Blazekit thought to herself.
Finally, Breezewave set Blazekit down.
"Blazekit, how many times have I told you not to bother Mumblefoot..." Blazekit's mother began, but Blazeheart didn't hear anything she had said. Instead, Blazekit was distracted by a beetle, slowly heading towards a crack in the nursery. Blazekit tried to stay put, listen to what her mother was saying, but she couldn't.
Blazekit stared at the beetle like a piece of prey, then ran as fast as she could to catch it. The beetle started moving faster, and disappeared under the crack.
Mouse-dung!
Blazekit ran back to her mother, but bumped into a warrior passing by.
"Watch where your-" Bluekit cut off as she opened her eyes. She had to tilt her head all the way back just to see the warrior. He looked just like Blazekit!
"Oh, hello, Blazekit!" The warrior bends down and licks Blazekit's ear. Blazekit ducks away shyly.
"I am your father, Tawnyspots." Tawnyspots adds.
My father?
Blazekit is eager to make her father proud of her, so she boasts about sneaking up on Mumblefoot.
Tawnyspots gives a snort of laughter. "Sneaking is a good thing to know in battle-" Tawnyspots cuts off as Pinestar yowls.
