My Cold Heart

Prologue

It had been two years. Two years since they left. They said it was for her own good but they weren't there to see her pain. They didn't see. A few days after they left she packed her stuff and left. She didn't look back. She travelled to the city. She wanted a new life somewhere where no one knew her. Somewhere she could be someone else. Somewhere she could forget. Forget it all. Forget them.

She applied the blood red lipstick slowly and stared at her reflection in the mirror. There was no spark in her eyes. That had left whe he had. There was no life for her... not anymore.

It was just another day. Just another day. A new day, a new client. This one was rich... weren't they all. This one was beyond rich. He was exploding with money. That's what her boss told her anyway. He said that this one asked for someone to satisfy all his needs. Well that's what she did wasn't it.

"Well here goes."She said coldly to her reflection and with that she walked out the door. When she reached the end of her road the wind was howling loudly in her ears and her hair blew in all directions. Her tight red dress clung to her bare thighs like the leaves clinging to the trees.

When the taxi pulled up to the overly expensive hotel, she had adjusted her hair so it looked like she belonged there. She walked swiftly into the lobby and went straight to the elevator. She had done this a million times before. The elevator dinged as it reached the top floor and she left walking slowly to the only door on the floor. She let herself into the room, just like her boss had told her to. He wasn't in the first area she reached, but the envelope was. She opened it carefully, curious to what he wanted her for. There was over $20,000 in it. She gasped unsure of what she could offer this man.

"You've arrived." His smooth velvet voice rung out to her ears. She froze and turned around slowly. It was his turn to gasp. She knew she looked like her. What with her curled brown locks and the high stiletto heels she looked more like her than she ever had.

Please review and comment! I'd love to hear your views. Don't worry, it will pick up I wanted to have more of a storyline in the beginning before I got to the good stuff! xxx
