Slow Down Chapter 1

(( please tell me what you think))Cas POV

It was the same dream every night for the past three days. A beautiful pair of green eyes are looking at me, through me even, and they make me feel as though looking at them can keep me safe no matter what. As soon as my eyes leave them to try and see who's eyes these are, I bolt awake. Most likely never knowing who this is.

Castiel Novak once again wakes up to find the green eyes gone and the sad reality in its place. Its a monday, today will be his first day as a senior. He groans as he rolls out of bed. Sometimes Castiel wishes he had been born just one year early so he could go live his life and not be stuck here for another 365+ days.

Castiel puts on his favorite t shirt under a light blue button up, he puts on dark almost black skinny jeans and his red high tops. Not bothering with his hair, its a lost cause of bed head and just plain crazy. After his normal routine he goes into the hallway to find his younger brother, Uriel, trying to dress their dog in an angel costume. He walks away without comment. Once he's in the kitchen his mother starts to fuss over his hair and tries to get it to at least look nice.

Paul, his father, is at the head of the table, reading the paper and commentating it to his wife. His father is his high school's principal. Strict and to the point is how he runs it and in return his son get beat up.

Gabriel, his older, and less mature, brother is trying to stuff his face of every pancake. He graduated high school last year but he wants to stick around and help his favorite sibling, so he's taking classes at the community college.

"Thanks mom." Castiel smiles warmly at her in her disappointment in trying to get his hair right. Gabriel smiles with his mouth full which leads to his mother hitting him upside the head with a rolled up magazine before going back to making even more pancakes.

"Good morning Cassie! Sleep well? Considering you're the last one down." Translated from Gabriel's garbled speech as he is still eating. This leads to another hit upside the head from their father. Castiel sits down to eat as many as he can before rushing outside to get to school.

Castiel is sitting in first period, AP English, or as he remembers it, some old guy teaching him what he learned in 8th grade. He sighs and, after putting his earbuds in, resigns himself to thinking about that dream he's had the last five weeks, who is it? And why are their eyes so captivating?

Castiel can't stand most of the people here, besides a select few, very select few, so he usually drowns out most people or ignore them. Unless they are those group of kids who get themselves into trouble and beat him up in lieu of his father. His absolute disdain for the human race usually causes most people to think of him as a dick or other horrible names. What really doesn't help his case is his recent discovery about himself that he always kinda thought would happen sooner or later.

A loud noise rouses him back into reality, he pulls out one of his earbuds and turns just in time to see a leather clad boy pulling out the seat next to him and plopping down, resting his boot clad feet onto the desk. The boy smirks and as he makes eye contact. Castiel realizes something, he has those some green eyes.

" Dean Winchester,"
