A?N: This will probably be a one-shot or a two-shot depending how many reviews I get…. Here is the story: Hestia's Selflessness

Hestia's POV

Once again the Olympians were engrossed in a war, this time against Gaea and Ouranos combined. A voice echoed through the throne room. "We require a godly sacrifice to the pit. If you do not each of you will perish." The voice of Ouranos echoed.

"We will not fulfill it." Zeus declared looking at each of the gods on their lovely thrones. The ones that were close to falling to the threat were Demeter, Hermes, Poseidon and Hera.

The ones he forgot to look at was the one that was destined to be the sacrifice. "Me." I say looking at them, the brothers and sisters I haven't dared looked at in millennia.

"No Hestia." Zeus says as if I were a child.

"I will go. Each of you need to live. I do not." I say simply and stand up in my brown robes my eyes calm flames.

"Don't go." Poseidon says, his eyes pleading on mine.

"I have to." I say looking at each of the gods and I start at the edge of the circle.

"Goodbye Dionysus." I say giving him an one-armed hug and he whispers in my ear "thank you Hestia." I say you're welcome back and move on.

"Goodbye Ares." I say as he nods and looks away.

"Bye Hermes." I say as he floats toward me and enfolds me in a hug. "Goodbye Hestia."

I go back and next is Apollo. "Apollo." I say with a small smile remembering the day many, many years ago. "Love you Hestia." He whispers as we hug and my brown hair flourishes away as I go onto Hades.

"I know we haven't gotten along well in the years Hades, but goodbye all the same." I say and give him a smile and a rare one back from him.

"Poseidon." I say as he walks toward me. "If you would have accepted all those years ago you wouldn't be here now." He whispers into my hair.

"I know." I reply as he kisses my hand and I approach Zeus.

"My eldest sister, Hestia. The Selfless." Zeus says as I ascend the steps.

"Good luck." I whisper as I make my way to Hera.

"My favorite sister." Hera says and looks straight at Demeter as she says it who, Demeter gives her an angry look.

"Demeter." I say as I approach her and Aphrodite smiles at me, Artemis gives me a hug and whispers good luck, Athena gives me a plan, which I don't catch.

"Goodbye." I say and I ride out of Olympus for the first and the last time.

I go to Tartarus and Ouranos cackles "The Olympians sacrificed their doorwoman? How despicable!"

Ouranos tosses me into the pit.

Poseidon's POV

I stand at the edge of the pit as I watch darkness entangle fire. "Hestia!" I shout and I see the fire look up.

"You came." Hestia says quietly as I throw down a long stretch of seaweed.

She is raised up and I take her onto my chariot and she asks "Did the gods tell you to do this?"

Hestia's POV

"Nope. Athena advised it, but no one told me to do it. I don't even know if it was that legal but I wanted to save you." Poseidon answers as we ride out into the world.

"Thank you." I answer, touched by his kindness.

"It was my pleasure Hestia." Poseidon answers, his hand on my shoulder as we ride up to Mount Olympus.
