And he said: "I think you're the idiot and I'm the bastard, Sasuke."
In which the Uchiha replied: "I think not, Uzumaki."
And their friends were listening to their conversation with the most amused curiosity, pointing and laughing but staying very unnoticeable to not ruin their entertainment.
"The only thing that makes you a bastard is the lack of marriage between your parents," the Uchiha said with a smirk so smug that the King of Smugness threw his crown away.
"Idiot, idiot you are," the blond replied with his tongue struck out of his mouth so far that it strained the muscle and made it hurt.
"You are an idiot for leaving and fighting and coming back all alone," he continued and knew that the boy was aware of his factful statements.
"And you're an idiot for picking up your brother's eyes and for thinking you can tame my fox."
In which Sasuke only smirked and crossed his arms over his chest so arrogantly that it made Blood boil elsewhere.
"I can and I will tame your fox with these eyes of mine just because I can," he said, his foot tapping the ground to give a rhythm for Naruto's annoyance.
"Just tell me what makes you a bastard."
And the chorus on the background let out the 'ooh's and 'aah's on just the right moment to match the rhythm Sasuke had build for the cracking tension.
But all Naruto did was shrug so lazily that this shoulders popped in protest. And Sasuke had had enough and his eyes turned so red that Blood itself was ashamed and started to run its laps faster around the body.
"Then the fox shall be under my command."
The rhythmical tapping of the Uchiha's foot turned into something more unrhythmical but Naruto didn't care because he hadn't really had a musical ear to begin with. And when Sasuke said "Let's dance." he couldn't help but laugh because Uzumaki Naruto didn't know how to dance.
So when the chorus hit the refrain and Sasuke was close enough to reach his sword clutching hand towards him, Naruto chose his own personal style and stumbled forward so that the Uchiha found himself caught between the ground and Uzumaki Naruto.
"Stupid Uchiha. You can't tame the fox if you can't tame Uzumaki Naruto," he said with a glint of mischievousness in his eyes that made the King of Smugness reclaim his throne and Sasuke to swallow before their lips crushed together. And the crowd cheered so loudly that it made Sasuke's cheeks turn red even if Naruto made Blood rush elsewhere in his body.
With a smacking sound they were separated and "Bastard." was the first word Sasuke breathed out.
And Naruto's eyes were laughing when he said "I told you so."
