A/N: Welcome to the Aperture Science Enrichment Center. I'm Ao, the author. Duuuur. Anyways, this is a short drabble on Portal… It takes place before Chell's little incident, in GLaDOS' spare time. Hope you like it.
Disclaimer: I do not own Portal. If I did, would have made Chell a bit more involved, and have a few lines.
GLaDOS: Ranting is not permitted during the test. Your cake has been revoked.
Ao: YOU MONSTER!
GLaDOS was bored. It was never a good thing when she got bored. She always harassed the turrets when she had nothing to distract her. It had been a while since the last organic had… failed the test.
"Might as well browse the net… I might be able to order some new turrets for the testing chamber."
As GLaDOS was AI, her experiences on the net were… different from humans. She began "walking" around the net, looking for nothing in particular, until she came across something that sparked her Curiosity Core.
"Y-A-O-I… I do not have a definition… Might as well browse around."
GLaDOS accessed the site and took a look around her. A few moments passed by before she exited and kept moving.
"… Human nature never ceases to surprise me. This may need more… research. I might incorporate YAOI into the tests…"
GLaDOS paused and entered a site titled "Yuri Fantasies". A nanosecond went by before she exited. If GLaDOS had a face, it would have a contorted, embarrassed look.
"Note to self: All content with keyword 'Yuri' is to be deleted."
GLaDOS disconnected from the net and created a new project. These findings would be interesting to apply in her next tests…
"Now. Where did those turrets go? I have a few… modifications I would like to make in their design…"
… Let's just say, the next two organics who were applied to the tests were male… and shocked to see the turrets. Both failed the tests immediately. GLaDOS was quick to scrap the "Project Yaoi".
Apparently, GLaDOS is more human than previously thought. Hope you liked it… I did this at 11:00 pm and was under fear of death.
