A/N: Another old poem I wrote for school last year! I fell in love with the Stellar Six the moment I picked up the book. So, when we were asked to write a narrative poem, I instantly thought of Kuro & Mike and their sweet little love story. This is in Kuro's view, by the way. So, please read and enjoy!

Ever since our childhood

Our red string was tied tight

For as long as I can remember

If you looked across the street

That's where you'd always stand

Waiting eagerly for me

Each and every day

A huge smile graced your face

The brightest most sincere grin

I will ever see in my life

It's engraved into my mind

I'll keep it in my heart

Sitting under the stars

We promised to always stay close

We felt as if nothing in the world

Could break that vow

But can one really keep a promise

To stay friends for eternity

We've slowly been separated

I numbly go about my day

Like an empty hull

I have no soul in me

I would simply sit there blankly

And count how long it's been

The few times we saw each other

I counted my many blessings

I appreciated any time we spent together

Because it was such a rarity

The distance between us grows

Our red string is loosened

I feel so isolated and desolate

I miss your smile too much

What happened to us

I want to go back to the way we were

Just like when we were young

We'll try to return the good days

You desperately reach out for me

It's an intense struggle

But I finally manage to get a hold

I grab your hand firmly

I refuse to ever let it go again

I can tell that it's the same with you

It's been two years

Since we've been united again

Are you content with the way things are

I feel like you're unknowingly anxious

Could it possibly be

That you're finally getting it

Laying under the bright stars

Just like when we were kids

They haven't changed

Looking at your awed face makes me smile

It's impossible for me to hold it in

So I'll just let it all out at once

We finally closed the gap

Our red string has been knotted tight

I couldn't dream of division between us

I'd be so lost without you

You don't know the half of it

Life would be pointless if you weren't around

And then we broke our promise

In a most unexpected way

We promised to stay friends

But we've become so much more than that

I've always loved you

You've finally realized that
