An idea that popped into my head when I was writing an essay. Go fig.

I could feel her heart beat growing quicker, and she stepped just a little closer to the bed.

"Perfect" I heard her whisper as she just stood there, gazing.

Slowly, with a tentative hand, she reached out, her skin cool against the others warmth. A sprig of jealousy grew in my gut, but I bit it down. I refused to let her know.

She is everything. She is light, she is love, and she is kindness everlasting.

But she can never be mine.

She can never allow for that to occur.

Amaterasu is as the sun she protects. She is life, warm and bright, and she belongs to everyone. She gives herself to everyone.

Amaterasu's arms wrap around her prize and I can hear the deep sigh that escapes from her throat. I despise what has caused her to make such a beautiful sound.

A remnant from the world below, proof of Amaterasu's existence upon the mortal plain of men. I can barely stomach its appearance.

The child is in Amaterasu's exact image, albeit male through the father that gave the child life. Amaterasu has many 'children' but the first child that she has bore, is a half-breed, divine blood mixed with the tainted blood of man.

"Chibiterasu, my little sun." She names the child and holds it close in her arms.

Why, O divine sovereign? Why did you allow your body to birth a reminder to the forsaken ways of mortal men?

I cannot truly bring my gaze upon your child, because even though its face is your own, I see instead the traces of the mortal that gave your child life, and I curse him, ye, I curse this mortal's existence!

Because, the father of this child, is not I.

Yeah, kinda Waka's train of thought in relation to my other Okami fic called 'Mama'. Hope you enjoyed.
