Rei Hannings and Haru Satoshi are the the new Weapon/Meister paring at the DWMA. But, they're not alone. As their year progresses, a certain someone from Rei's past comes back to collect her soul. {Rei's P.O.V.}

*BEEP BEEP!* said my alarm clock at 6 AM this morning. I yawned and stretched, slowly crawling out of bed. I then put on my black glasses and looked at the calendar smiling. It was going to be mine and my partner, Haru's first day at the DWMA. When I finally slithered out of bed, I walked over to Haru's side of the bed and shook him softly. "Haru," I said, tiredly, "time to get up." He opened one of his eyes and looked at me, groaning. "Ugggghhh! I don't wanna get up, Rei. Wake me up in...like...never." His voice trailed off as he finished his sentence. I sighed. "Haru, I'm serious. We gotta get up or we're gonna be late!" Haru glared at me with his piercing green eyes. He then growled under his breath. "Fine. I'll get up." Haru slowly crawled out of bed, his dirty blonde hair a mess, but it was no different from what my hair was like. I smiled tiredly and rubbed my eyes. "C'mon, let's get dressed." "Yeah yeah." I scratched the back of my head, yawning. I had a feeling, that this day was gonna more than I will expect it to be...

(LATER ON...)

{Narrator's P.O.V.}

Maka and Soul stood in the main hallway of the DWMA, the both looking impatient. Soul sighed. "They're late." Maka nodded. "Yeah, I know. I wonder what's keeping them." Soul shrugged. "Beats me." The both of them then turned their heads to see a girl and a boy walking down the hall. Both of them sounded and looked both annoyed and angry. "Goddammit, Haru!" the girl said. "How many times have I told you NOT to leave your dirty clothes all over the house!" The boy replied, being much louder than the girl, "Well, Rei, if you would stop leaving your goddamn underwear on our bed every morning when you change 'em out, I would have to leave my dirty clothes anywhere!" Soul and Maka chuckled loudly as the two came up to them, the girl blushing slightly. "Looks like you two heard that, huh?" Maka nodded. The girl sighed. "Bah...I don't even care." said the boy, scratching the back of his head. The girl then smiled nervously at Soul and Maka. "I'm Rei Hannings. This is my partner, and boyfriend, Haru Satoshi." Rei pointed at Haru as she said his name.

Haru grinned, looking a bit evil. He straightened his dark grey beanie on his head as Rei pulled the hood of her navy blue cloak off her head. Maka then smiled at them both and said, "Welcome to the Death Weapon Meister Academy!"
