Disclaimer: I own nothing.

I don't like this much. It's very OOC for both Draco and Hermione, but they're my favourite couple and if I didn't write something soon I was gonna burst. I've been told despite the OOC and the shortness it's quite good, so give it a shot? Review even if you hated it to tell me what to improve :) I'm a new Harry Potter fan and admittedly have not read all of the books so, blah enough of my babbling here you go :)

Isn't anyone trying to find me?
Won't somebody come take me home?

The rain pounded against the grounds of the castle, as the girl sighed softly. Hermione decided, that she wasn't ready to back inside Hogwarts just yet. So she sat down on her trunk, letting the smell of musty earth and rainfall wash over her. Little did she know, she wasn't the only one 'enjoying' the weather. A pair of cold, grey eyes were set on her, watching the rain dance over her now colourless eyes. A few hours ago, the grounds had been a buzz of life, people waving and hugging each other goodbye, telling them to enjoy their Christmas break. Hermione thought Christmas this year would be fun, especially in the Weasley household, it was always alive with some sort of magic, and even though Hermione loved her home and her muggle parents, Christmas was just never as magical with them.

She buried her head in her lap softly, tears running down her face. How could she have been so stupid to have missed the train? She was so busy feeling pity for herself, she didn't hear the footsteps behind her.

"Hello, Granger"

The voice was familiar and un-wanted. Hermione wiped her tears quickly, Draco Malfoy would not see her cry.

"Go away, Malfoy."

"My, what a callous attitude you have to someone offering you help"

She snorted in a most un-ladylike manner. What help could he possibly offer her?

"Come with me" he said, holding out a hand to her. She wiped another small tear away.

"Why should I?" she retorted, almost instantly.

Draco looked at her with cold, hard eyes and a smug smile.

"Because you know you want to"

And the truth was, there something about his small smile, or the fact after all her let downs that day that made her want to trust someone. So she took his hand and walked away, suitcase in tow. Something about that night just made all the difference.

Wont you, take me by the hand. Take me somewhere new.

I don't know who you are, but I'm, I'm with you.
