Peanut Butter Cheesecake
Theme: Because
"And what makes you think that you'll hate this?"
Haruhi shrugged. "I don't hate sweets. I just don't prefer them."
Kaoru continued to insist, holding the Super Chunky Peanut Buttery Cheese-cake piece an inch from her lips.
Super Chunky Peanut buttery Cheesy-cake. That was what Hikaru named it; and knowing Kaoru, he didn't wish to go against his brother's decision. After all, it was a fairly suitable name for a peanut butter cheesecake in Kaoru's mind.
"C'mon, Haruhi. Honey-senpai would be proud of you, and Hikaru would be at ease."
Haruhi continued to stare at the cake in all of its extravagant glory. There were peanut butter flowers and melted cream cheese dripping along the cake's edge. She cringed. It seemed much too rich for her, and of all things, cheese especially did not interest her.
But Haruhi took the offer and seized the moment. And for what reason? Not even Haruhi herself could quite answer that.
There was silence, followed by a smile along her lips.
He looked hopeful. "Well? How was it?"
"You didn't put enough sugar." She handed him the fork and headed out the music room 3. "Nice try, though. See you tomorrow."
He certainly didn't see that coming.
Despite her reaction, he couldn't help but laugh because all he knew was that the cake looked expensive and that it tasted like a new beginning.
And for Kaoru, that was sweet enough.
