Kiss Me…. or Not?

I stepped out of the truck, my eyes puffy from lack of sleep.

"Hon, will you help me carry these bags in the house?" My mother asked smiling, trying to lighten my mood.

I yanked out my ear bugs and let out a loud sigh.

I'm originally from Minnesota, but we left the day after my seventeenth birthday. My parents didn't really give a full reason why all I know is that exactly at midnight of my birthday I turned into a giant wolf. My parents tried to explain everything to me, about how they were wolves and had been keeping it secret for years because they wanted to wait till I was mature enough to take it in. My older brother left after his seventeenth birthday too, I was unsure now where he went, then they just said they sent him to boarding school. I was still a little shocked from my shift, but my parents had me transform everyday so it would get easier. The first transformation was extremely painful, I remembered as all my bones cracked and re broke over and over again, changing into a giant werewolf.

"Explain to me again why we're here?" I looked up at the mansion set before us.

"It's time your father and I came home. There are things we should have told you a long time ago," her mouth became a straight line, "all your confusion will end soon."

I just rolled my eyes, hearing the same answer over and over again for the last week and a half.

I walked inside the house and noticed that we weren't the only ones here. Children ran through the massive hallways, screaming and laughing at one and another. Men and women sat in the living room watching us patiently and I suddenly felt like a bug under a microscope. I turned my eyes to something else to get rid of the feeling.

I scanned across the room's interior. It had a very homey feeling, filled with soft yellows, blues, and light browns to give it a soft yet warm feeling. The couches were white leather with a glass coffee table in the center. Pictures of landscapes and faces filled the walls. The kitchen was large with white cupboards and walls with a crème tiling. All the appliances were stainless still and brand new.

I turned to my mother, astonished, "We're living with other people?"

She nodded, "This is the pack house, everyone lives here."

I followed my mother up the stairs and down a hall leading to the right.

"That's the alpha's son's room. Stay out of it, he's not good for you," she warned pointing to the room on the left.

She then entered a room on the right. It had dark purple walls with a large black framed bed with purple comforter's with carpet to match. There was a balcony that looked out into the mountains. A black couch was set against the wall with a large plasma screen.

"This is your room, your father and I will be one hall over in the last room, call if you need anything," she left the room.

I set my bags on the lush bed and then walked into the bathroom to freshen up before meeting everyone downstairs. I re applied my make up and combed through my blonde hair, the door then opened on the other side.

His scent hit me first, it was a masculent and musky sent that made my breathe catch in my throat. I looked up to his face, he had jet black hair and honey eyes. His skin held a natural tan, suggesting he was Native American. I then explored the rest of him, he held large biceps that bulged under his tight black shirt and you could see the outline of a six pack underneath. I let my gaze drop to the bulge in his jeans.

"Are you finished checking me out yet?" His voice was deep and extremely sexy. I was definitely turned on.

"I wasn't checking you out," I blushed, looking back in the mirror as applied some mascara.

He just rolled his eyes and I felt his gaze look me up and down.

"Now who's the one staring?" I smirked.

"I can't help it, I've never seen anything so beautiful," I felt my knees buckle at his words.

Confidence, I told myself.

"So um, may I ask why you're in my bathroom?" I put my make up in my bag.

"This is my bathroom too," he shrugged.

I sighed, "Great, now I'll have some creep trying peek at me in the shower every morning."

He chuckled lightly, "I think it'll be reversed."

I just shook my head and walked out of the bathroom.

"What's your name?" I heard him call behind me.

"Armeda," I purred, smiling.

He licked his lips, "I'm Jacade."

I shivered, his name was equally appealing.

"Nice to meet you," I walked out the door.
