Water and Intellect

Most would say that water is my element because my attacks begin as such, but when my target is doused, the water turns to ice or fog. I am the Senshi of water and ice, but also of intellect and science. My fellow Senshi call me "the brains of the group," and that is true in a sense. I do possess a very high intelligence, but I am not a show-off about it. If anything, I am more modest about it and sometimes, even shy when others mention it. My brain is my real power, for it helps me to strategize the best use for my Senshi powers, as well as the powers of other Senshi.
At first, my powers felt like a curse because my pre-ordained duties prevented me from advancing further in my studies. Over time, however, I learned to use my gifts to further benefit not only myself, but also those closest to me in life. Water has become the closest friend I will ever have because I have a connection to it like no other. Not only can I control it in my Senshi form, but I can also perform what is known as dowsing: tracking the flow of water that has been disrupted. I can dowse while in my civilian form, but one who used to be my enemy told me that "dowsing without a pendant is the work of the devil."
She could also control water and ice in its dark form, but now her and her sisters are friends of the Senshi. Friends of the Senshi are rare because we can't let anyone know our secret, which is why I push so many people away from me. I used to be a bookworm loner until I met Sailor Moon and my own destiny as Sailor Mercury and now I am no longer alone. After being a Senshi for so many years, I feel as those I've been one all my life, which in a sense, I have been if you will remember my history as Princess Mercury in the Silver Millennium.
I was one of four princesses appointed at a very young age to be a protector of Princess Serenity of the Moon Kingdom, and to that oath I hold. I shall one day be the queen of Crystal Mercury, but even then, it will be my duty to protect the royal family of Crystal Tokyo. My powers of water and ice will stay with me until the day I pass into my next life or until I have a daughter to carry on my legacy. If and when the day I bear a neo-Senshi comes, I hope that she will not only receive my powers, but my intellectual gifts as well.
Every year that passes, I learn more and more about being a Sailor Senshi of Earth and where that knowledge will lead me. The construction of Crystal Tokyo and peace across the universe is the goal for all Senshi, but I have been pushing myself to fight hard alongside Sailor Moon in the present and for the future. Until that future comes to pass, I will continue to strive to conquer evil and defeat it. I am Mizuno Ami: Princess Mercury, Sailor Mercury, and when the time comes, Neo-Queen Mercury of Crystal Mercury. I fight with water and ice, but most importantly, I fight with my head and my heart.
