"Ya know, we haven't seen my family in a long time."
"Yeah?"Inuyasha looked at her out of the corner of his narrowed eyes thinking (where are you going with this).
"I almost can't believe," Kagome said, "the last time we saw them Damon wasn't even walking yet."
"Do you want to go see your family?"
Kagome gets excited, "Oh, can we?" as if it was all his idea.
"Well, do you think you can remember how to get to your brother's house? We almost never found it the last time."
"Will you give me a break? I only got lost last time because it was the first time I'd ever been there."
"Sure. We can leave tomorrow."
"Okay I'll start packing as soon as I get up.-Oh, I see some little ears. What are you doing out of bed, Damon?"
"I had a bad dweam.*sniff* Can I sleep wif you and daddy?"
Inuyasha interrupts, "Fine, but if you bite me in your sleep again, you're going back to your bed."
The next day...
Inuyasha and Kagome are going to have to rent a car, her brother lives out in the country. They rent a small Honda sedan, but Kagome is amazed at how, even though Inuyasha had never even imagined a car before he met her, he still wants to rent the "sexiest" car on the lot.
The drive to Sota's house isn't a long one but it was long enough to make Damon a little stir crazy. At one point he is literally climbing the walls in the backseat. All of a sudden, without thinking, Kagome yells "SIT" and Inuyasha slams through the floor of the car. Kagome slows down but doesn't have enough time to stop before he's climbing back in the the open sunroof.
"Ow," he growls at her.
As she's trying to apologize, he says, "Just be glad I made you get the insurance. How do we explain this?"
