A Merlin Fanfic!!
Moment of Regret
Arthur watched the morning sun rise. With a yawn he stretched and was about to visit Morgana when Merlins red face shoved through Arthur's door. Merlin could see that Arthur looked very disturbed but ran in and sat down on Arthurs wooden crystal pointed chair but Arthur pushed him back up again. "Merlin!" Arthur exclaimed. "What on earth are you doing?!" Merlin had to gulp a few times before he could speak. " Um… sire, your father wants you urgently" Arthur put on a face that said, ' what is going on? Arthur quickly put on his red un- polished boots and went outside. Merlin trotted along in silence. A few minutes later Merlin broke the silence because he couldn't last one minute in silence. "Would you like me to clean the stables?"
"Yes, that reminds me I want you to, wash my boots, polish my armour, tell Guinevere to sew my red cape unless you want to do it, but I'd rather Guinevere to do it, train my horse, make my breakfast and……… sweep my room" Arthur breathed. Merlin nodded trying to remember what the second job was. Merlin stopped. Arthur went on trotting to the Court Room.
"Yes father?" Arthur said as he reached the court room. "The king of Caperlot and I chose you to be in the 'Great Hunt' of the Hollows.
"When is it sire?"
"It is in three days, I want to train as hard as you can since you will be helping the army of Caperlot kill the monstrous beast, Advaland"
"But in order to kill the beast, you will have to send someone from this village to risk their life as the bait, there is a chance it might lead to death or just some Advaland marks"
Arthur felt so excited until he heard he had to risk a persons life as bait. But Arthur has waited ever since he was little boy to be chosen in the Advaland hunt. "How about that servant of yours?" Arthur sunk. " Merlin?"
"Yes, yes whatever his name is, he can be the bait since you never liked him anyway by the look of your attitude when he talks" "Arthur has tears running down his face. How could he? He was……best firneds with Merlin. "Father! He saved my life!" Arthur exclaimed. "I have already chosen our sacrifice, and you should take this as a gift, you hate him" the king decided. Arthur regretted the fact that he was acting like a total idiot around Merlin. But it was too late.
