"Hinamori?" her quiet sobbing had woken him from his nightmare, his tired teal eyes turned to see the back of her head, her whole body shaking as she continued sob, his first and only instinct was to move closer and gently wrap his arm around her waist, her sobbing got louder as she turned around and buried her face in his chest at the slight glance Histugaya was sure her usually beautiful hazel eyes where blood shot and sore "Shiro-Make its stop!" her small whimper startled him slightly his grip tighten on her carefully to speak gently as she asked her "Make what stop Hinamori? Struggling between sobs she replied "it hurts, my heart hurts…Shiro please…!" the captain eyes widened, she was begging him, he hadn't realised how much pain the fragile girl had been in, her gently rested hi on her holding her body against him hoping his attempts to soothe her would drown out her pain full cry's as she clung tightly onto him, his heart was being so fast he could almost feel it about to burst from his chest all his instincts told him to do was to hold her tight and repeated the phrase "I'll protect you" over and over until his voice became horse and he could no longer speak.
