"C'mon, we still need a present for Chuck and Blair." Jenny said as she hugged Nate from behind. He sat on the couch in their apartment. It was one of those arts-y red brick wall flats in Manhattan. Jenny and Nate have been together for a while now, but they could only move in together after Blair finally agreed to not kill Jenny when she returned to Manhattan. It was 2 weeks before Christmas and they still didn't get around to buy all the presents between Nate's work and Jenny's design career.
"And we won't die if we ignore it for another week. I don't even know what to get them." Nate replied, smiling up at her as he leaned his head back to rest on the back of the couch. Jenny leaned back a bit before she kissed him softly.
"I don't know either, maybe I'll get Blair exclusives from my next collection? Or I'll talk to Claudette, the designer I met in Paris; heard she's up and coming." she mumbled against his lips, squealing when he wriggled out of her embrace just to grab her around the waist and drag her over the back of the couch to lie on it beside (or well, on top of) him.
"I like your nightgown." he whispered instead of a answering her.
"You mean that you like that it's practically non-existent." Jenny retorted, kissing him softly. He hummed in agreement, stroking her back through the deep violet silk garment. Jenny smiled against his lips when she freed herself from his embrace and got off the couch.
"You're not getting out of shopping this time. Get up and get ready, we'll leave in 30 minutes." she ordered as she made her way towards their bathroom. "And if I have to go alone again don't expect a repeat of last night or this morning anytime soon." she added before the bathroom fell shut with a loud bang.

"Tiffany for Blair?" Nate suggested as they walked down the avenue, Nate looking out for a free cab as they walked. He readjusted his scarf and closed his coat before he took Jenny's half-gloved hand in his.
"Nope, that's too boring. We can't do boring." Jenny replied, tucking a strand of her long blonde hair out of her face and into her beanie.
"But boring is easy." Nate mumbled, sticking his arm out when he saw a few empty cabs nearing. One of them cam to a stop next to the couple. Nate opened the door and slipped into the vehicle, wrapping his arm around Jenny's waist when she closed the door to sit beside him.
"1000 Third avenue." Jenny told the driver before she closed the small plexiglass window which separated them from the front of the car.
"Bloomingdales?" Nate asked, one eyebrow risen.
"I need inspiration if I'm supposed to design and sew a dress for Blair in two weeks." she replied, smiling cheekily. "And I may need a dress for the Christmas Party."
He snorted as he smiled down at her. "Let me guess, I'll need a matching tie?" he asked.
"Nope," she shook her head, "you need a matching shirt."
